Soundcheck Details:
Please read the following closely:
We have a system in place to assist in quick smooth/transitions between our back-to-back concerts. Following these protocols will benefit YOU and the PEOPLE COMING AFTER YOU by giving all access to a nice setup, soundcheck, performance, and tear down:
- After your concert:
- Immediately pack and remove your gear from the stage.
- Please talk to friends and fans after you have cleared the stage
- No mingling on the stage as we have a very tight schedule. This is very important, keeping the stage clear of extra bodies allow us to efficiently clear and reset the stage for the next concert.
- Before your concert setup:
- Stay off the stage until it is entirely cleared and you are given the all-clear by our technical director, Dr. Travis Garrison.
- Set up:
- All performers/ensembles set up at the same time, after they are given the go-ahead by Dr. Garrison to move on stage.
- Sound check then occurs in reverse concert order, as listed below.
- Be ready to go and don’t leave the building, sometimes we get ahead of schedule(!)
- Performance duration: our concerts are timed to give everybody a decent soundcheck, so please stick to the duration of your performance as noted on the main schedule and was emailed to you.
- Please direct technical questions to our Technical Director, Dr. Travis Garrison
- Finally, please be kind to our student workers and express gratitude when you can.
One other note: please observe that the hall is booked with back-to-back events so there is no rehearsal time available in the hall. We do, however have small practice rooms available during school hours.
